“Eleebana lights” was the second shot from the series ” Eleebana at Dusk”. Taken back in June 2005, again with my Nikon D70, this shot shows just how peaceful and calming the lake can be.
Eleebana is close to all the attractions of Warners Bay, Charlestown and even Newcastle CBD but still manages to feel like you are on a summer holiday escaping the city. Known for it’s relaxed lifestyle and with a great selection of B&B’s to chose from, maybe Eleebana could be your next vacation spot.

“Eleebana at Dusk” was taken back in June 2005, at Eleebana, Lake Macquarie using the Nikon D70.
Eleebana is another of the beautiful suburbs surrounding the lake and is also known for it’s great fishing, sailing and water sports. Not far along is Croudace Bay where you will find lots of families on weekends enjoying an aussie bbq and frisbee session.

The Three Sisters was taken in October 2005, during a brief visit to the Blue Mountains to visit friends and attend the annual Leura Mall Fair.
The Legend…
The Aboriginal dream-time legend has it that three sisters, ‘Meehni’, ‘Wimlah’ and Gunnedoo’ lived in the Jamison Valley as members of the Katoomba tribe.
These beautiful young ladies had fallen in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe, yet tribal law forbade them to marry.
The brothers were not happy to accept this law and so decided to use force to capture the three sisters causing a major tribal battle.
As the lives of the three sisters were seriously in danger, a witchdoctor from the Katoomba tribe took it upon himself to turn the three sisters into stone to protect them from any harm. While he had intended to reverse the spell when the battle was over, the witchdoctor himself was killed. As only he could reverse the spell to return the ladies to their former beauty, the sisters remain in their magnificent rock formation as a reminder of this battle for generations to come.
The Three Sisters are 922, 918 & 906 metres tall, respectively.

“Burwood Beach” was taken back in August 2005, atop of Burwood Cliffs, in Merewether, Newcastle.
Newcastle has the most beautiful beaches and relaxed lifestyle, something that is becoming obvious to a lot of Sydney siders as we see droves of them coming up here either to relocate or just visit the Hunter Valley and Pokolbin for a weekend getaway.

” On Angels Wings” was captured at Belmont Bay, in May 2006. The clouds seemed to resemble angels wings, softly falling through the clouds, thus the title.

“The Newcastle Ocean Baths” were first opened to the public in 1922. They are located along The Esplanade, which winds it’s way around Newcastle’s city beaches. The large circular pool you see is the babies pool, which features a map of the world under all that sand.
