“Park Bench” is not in my usual style and is also in the contrasts of Black &White but there is something I really love about this shot. It’s peaceful, serene and complex all at the same time. Anyway, it was taken at the public bathing pools at Belmont Bay, along Lake Macquarie, NSW. A great spot for a swim during summer.

“After The Storm” is just what the title implies and is the third installment of the storm that hit Lake Macquarie earlier this week. How quickly we can be shown the force of mother nature and all her fury, Only to then be left with her beauty in the one day.

“Stormy Afternoon” was taken on the shores of Belmont Bay,along Lake Macquarie during a sudden and violent storm that hit Lake Macquarie, The Hunter and Central Coast earlier this week.
The storm only lasted all of 20 minutes but the middle of the day became very dark, wet and wild.

“Beauty at Dusk” was taken along the shores of Belmont Bay in Lake Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia using my Fuji S9500.

Lake Macquarie is four times bigger than Sydney Harbour and is very popular amongst fisherman, sailors and anyone who loves spending time in it’s deep blue water. The Lake is surrounded by some of Lake Macquaries most beautiful inlets, such as Skye Point, Coal Point, Fishing Point, Green Point , Valentine, Warners Bay, Speers Point and Swansea.

“Pelican Flat” is from the series ” Pelican” taken last week on the shores of the beautiful Lake Macquarie.

Pelican has some great sheltered beaches, inlets and coves and also great for taking your four legged friend for a swim. At the end of the cove you will find Milano’s Restaurant and heading towards Sydney you will come to Swansea and the channel, great for boating, fishing and a fantastic spot for diving.

” Pelican Beach” was taken last week at Pelican right on dusk. Just as I was packing up for the day these lovely 2 pelicans came swimming past and were more interested in the sunset than anything I was doing.

Pelican is a suburb of Lake Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia. It is just a short 30 minute drive to Newcastle CBD and only 15 minutes to Warners Bay and all the cafe’s and restaurants along the foreshore.

“Winter Sky” is a the first shot in a three part series taken along the shores of Belmont Bay, Lake Macquarie, in August 2006.

With a perfect orange back drop and just the right mix of light left hanging in the clouds, it’s easy to see why people love spending their days or weekends on Lake Macquarie, also why people love sunsets.

” Cotton Wool” was taken off Belmont Bay, in February 2006 with my fuji finepix S9500.

The sun was just about to set and the clouds appeared to be just hanging there like bits of cotton wool, hence the title.

Belmont Bay is on the shores of the ever beautiful Lake Macquarie. Not far from Warners Bay, Speers Point or Swansea, Belmont is the ideal spot for tourists with all it’s water sports, sailing and breathtaking views.

“Eleebana lights” was the second shot from the series ” Eleebana at Dusk”. Taken back in June 2005, again with my Nikon D70, this shot shows just how peaceful and calming the lake can be.

Eleebana is close to all the attractions of Warners Bay, Charlestown and even Newcastle CBD but still manages to feel like you are on a summer holiday escaping the city. Known for it’s relaxed lifestyle and with a great selection of B&B’s to chose from, maybe Eleebana could be your next vacation spot.
